What
a weather? Again we got a nice little crew with morse code on the air.
The weather did not promise much, but we were quite lucky with the nice
conditions. Just before the contest we could log the first french stations
with a QRB larger than 700km with nice signals. In the first hour the
QSO-rate was quite high for a november contest but this did not last long.
In the end and during the night there was not too much reply. The over all
conditions were up the whole time. We were supprised to log EI5FK from IO51.
It was the first time we worked IO51 during a contest. F6FHP ist as every year
in the log, but signal was much stronger than usual! The main direction
was to south west and to the west. Also a nice one was GU which is quite seldom for us.
In the end we were happy to end another marconi contest well above 200k points.
I even believe that it is the best score we ever reached in November.
It was a nice ending of the season. We are looking forward to seeing you again
in March.
